Details for Munatius Plancus, L. - Roman Republican moneyer

Republican moneyer who issued coins while Praefectus Urbis in 45 BC, and later under the command of Mark Antony. He managed to survive the complex political currents in the first century BC by constantly shifting his allegiance. He was consul in 42 BC and served as ProConsul in various provinces. Contemporary sources suggest he was not well-respected.
