The impact of Anglo-Saxon Cemeteries on material culture in the landscape

Principal investigator: Cameron Wildridge
Level: Masters degree

I am a Computational Archaeology masters student at UCL, and am writing dissertation on how the presence of an Anglo-Saxon cemetery impacts the contemporary material culture that is found in a landscape (presence/absence, types of material culture present, etc), including looking if this impact differs across region/temporality. My degree supervisor (Andrew Bevan) suggested that I use the PAS database and that I request access to higher resolution location data for this research. This dissertation would be complete and handed in by the end of September 2020, and identifiable finds location data would not be included in the material handed in.
