I am a second year PhD student in Medieval History, University of Oxford. I am supervised by Prof. C. Wickham and Prof. H. Hamerow. I am investigating the trade network and coastal settlement of 6th-early 7th cs. southern Britain and Francia (provisional thesis title: 'The Sixth and Early Seventh Centuries: Preconditions of the Rise of the Emporia' ).I plan to finish my doctorate in 2016 or 2017.
