I am working on two research projects, elements of which involve analysing the distributions of archaeological sites and findspots. These are:

1) A parish level archaeological/historical study of Peasemore in West Berkshire, which also involves an analysis of archaeological activity patterns across a wider study area, taking in the southern Berkshire Downs, from prehistory through to the medieval period.

2) A study of Anglo-Saxon Berkshire, covering the historic county, one element of which will involve an analysis of settlement and activity patterns from the late Roman through to the late Anglo-Saxon period.

Both projects will result in the publication of monographs – the Peasemore/southern Berkshire Downs volume will be published by the Berkshire Archaeology Research Group this year, the Anglo-Saxon Berkshire volume (jointly authored with Ryan Lavelle of the University of Winchester) is expected to be published by the History Press in late 2013/early 2014.
