The central design consists of a vertical long elongated oval above a shorter elongated oval, with a horizontal line between them, two lines descending at 45 degrees from the intersection, and two curved lines either side of the long elongated oval. The central design appears to be a six-armed star but could perhaps also be interpreted as a motif such as feathers, flaming sword or stylised leaf or lys (e.g. DENO-D0B5F6). There i…

Incomplete post-medieval silver seal matrix. The die is oval and shows the negative design of a galleon with three masts and front and rear castles. This is surrounded by a beaded border. There is no lettered inscription. The shaft is six sided and would have terminated in a loop, which is now missing. The break edges are worn smooth and similarly patinated to the rest of the object suggesting this damage occurred in antiquity. Directly below the position of the loop is a moulded hexagonal collar, which mirrors the six sides of the shaft, and below this is a grooved line.
