Lead weight. Cast pyramidal four-sided weight with a flat facet between each of its four sides and round its flat square base, and with a central longitudinal moulded aperture of diameter 3.8mm. Lightly patinated. The mass does not figure in a series recorded from medieval London (Egan 1998), and nor does it closely correspond to subdivisions of either Roman or post-medieval systems of measurement. The object might represent five ounces of 29.2gms under the medieval Tower system used for silver and bread – as the closest correspondence noted for it. Suggested date: Unknown, Roman…

A Late Iron age to early Roman cast copper alloy Nauheim derivative La Tene III brooch, dating to c. AD 25-70. The whole brooch has been constructed from a single piece of copper alloy. The head has an integrally cast spring and pin which is retained. The bow is flat and decorated with a medial groove and two grooves defining the outer borders. It tapers to the foot which is incomplete and has a stump of a catchplate. cf. Bayley & Butcher (2005: 54, 230) Nos. 1-2, Hull T10A.

Reduced shell tempered fabric with frequent inclusions to length 2.5mm; one body sherd (height 37.7mm) with an impressed wavy line  between grooves on its outer wall; and a fiercely abraded ?rim sherd fragment. The wavy line is a common decoration on 2nd-century Romano-British pottery. The form may be Roman but the shelly fabric is in the Iron Age tradition. A Medieval copper alloy bar mount and pendant loop. The ring is 9.6mm in diameter, with a flat cross section and a flat rear edge forming a suspension bar. It is held by a bar mount which is comprised of a folded J-shaped strip of copper alloy, 11.8mm in length, which loops around the ring and has the reverse end held in place by a rivet. There is no decoration. Circa 14th century.
