A near complete cast Post-Medieval thimble of Holmes Type II, dating to c.AD 1620-1750. Description: The object has a circular base raising to straight sides which slope to a domed crown. The thimble is seamless, with a regular series of mechanically knurled pits covering the dome and body. There is an indented band between the body and crown and some basal bands with deep grooves.
