An incomplete late Medieval to Early Post-Medieval copper-alloy book fitting, dating to c.AD 1400 - 1600. Howsham type A.3.  It is sub-rectangular and formed of one sheet copper alloy. The plate has a flared and scalloped open end. At the opposing end terminates in an old break. It is decorated in the centre with an annulet and three concentric rings. A very worn Roman copper alloy radiate or nummus of unclear emperor dating to AD 260 to 402. Unclear reverse type, unclear mint. The small size may suggest it was a contemporary copy of a coin. The coin is slightly dished similar to Iron Age forms but this may be from variable corrosion or post depositional damage.

An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval non-armorial harness pendant. It is worn,and  broadly crescent shaped, with an extant harness suspension loop. There is some visible decoration in the form of stamped circular dots, creating a lozenge shape. It's shape, decoration and design suggest an earlier date 12th/13th century, with similar shapes seen in Ashley, 2002, pg 5, fig 5, 1-3. Weight: 3.25g Width: 31.13mm Length: 34.53mm

A complete cast copper alloy D-shaped buckle dating to the Post Medieval period c.AD1500-1650. The pin is missing. The buckle frame has a vertical axis bar and then a broadly D-shaped frame having a curved outer edge. This outer edge is splayed the inner edge being higher than the outer. this angled edge has deeply incised decoration creating a series of wavey patterns. A complete highly decorated Medieval single loop trapezoidal shaped buckle and floral strap plate dating to c. AD 1250-1500.  The buckle consists of an elongated trapezoidal buckle frame, an articulating pin and folded strap plate with quatrefoil applique. Fragment of a probable copper alloy Roman plate brooch, inlaid with enamel, dating to the 2nd century AD (100-200AD). The object is oval in plan and slightly convex on the outer face. There is a break at the top and bottom of the object.  This suggests that the object could be a large roundel from the centre of a brooch bow.  It is decorated on the outer face with a series of concentric circular cells, the largest of which contains blue enamel or glass. A fragment from a copper-alloy socketed axehead of Bronze Age date. Only the socket end of the axe remains, and it has post-depositional damage. It is broadly trapezoidal in shape, and is hollow. At the socket end the rim in thickened. Along one outer edge is the remains of a longitudinal casting seam.There is a similar example recorded on the PAS database (SF-CA59D7). This socket measures 43.02mm in length, 47.15mm in width, 4.77m in thickness, 47.86g in weight.
