Made on flint, becoming dark bluish-grey and opaque through patination although most of the piece is still patinated a mid-brownish grey. Platform created by a series of removals to form the surface. Post Medieval copper alloy 'rose/orb' jetton probably of Hans Krauwinckel II, issued at Nuremberg, c. AD 1586-1635. VERBVM DOMINI MANET IN ETER reverse legend. Mitchiner (1988, 438) no. 1512, reverse has same die flaw at 12 o'clock. The jetton was previously folded in half and has broken along this fold. The reverse, which was on the inside of the fold, is much better preserved.
