A complete copper alloy jetton of post-medieval date. The jetton was struck in Nuremberg by Wolf Lauffer II, master from 1612 to his death in March 1651 and is of the rose and orb type. Obverse: WOLF LAVFER IN NVRNBERG RECHP around alternating crowns and lis with a central rose. Reverse Inscription: GOTTES SEGEN MACHT REICH (God's blessing brings riches) around Imperial Orb within a tressure of three arches. Compare Mitchiner, p.484, no.1709. Measurements are; diameter 20.9mm, thickness 0.3mm and weight 0.81g.
