A complete early medieval silver penny of Æthelstan I of East Anglia (c.825-c.845), without bust, moneyer: Torhthelm (Naismith E40.1var; North 440), mint: East Anglia (Ipswich?) dating to the period c.AD830-837/8.  The coin appears to have been struck from the same dies as EMC 2018.0046. The coin (and EMC-recorded example) differ from Naismith E40.1 in the addition of three pellets either side of the central letter A on the obverse, a feature seen on E38.1e and E38.1f; single pellets are seen on E40.1j and k.
