It has a long, narrow profile, sub rectangular in cross section, with approximately parallel sides but flaring out a little to a split and shallow bifid attachment end with two rivet holes in the corners. A cast copper alloy zoomorphic strap end dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 800-1100), of Thomas class B Type 4c. An incomplete Early Medieval copper alloy 'Urnes' style possible strap end, dating to c. AD 1000-1100. Thomas' Class G. The find's has a small raised platform above its wedge-shaped end. The wedge tapers down to a zoomorphic head possibly that of a dragon, with two small horns coming from the crown of the head and lentoid shaped ears which are slightly raised up and back onto the sides of the strap end. A complete copper alloy probable strap end of medieval to Post Medieval date, c. AD 1400-1700, with linear decoration and rivet holes. The object is triangular in plan. The upper and reverse sides are decorated with crude, incised linear shapes. The upper side appears to have a vertical arrow pointing upwards to the end where the strap would be inserted. An incomplete, cast, copper-alloy probable strap end of probable Roman to Medieval date, (c. AD 43 - 1500).
It is rectangular in plan and tapers slightly towards a rounded terminal. There is a worn transverse break at the wider rectilinear end.
There is no visible evidence of any attachment points remaining, these were probably situated above the break.
It has a smooth, dark brown patina and is undecorated.

An Early Medieval copper alloy strap end, dating to c AD 750 - 1100. It is a small item, slightly convex sided, split attachment end with a single drilled hole, rivet now lost, tapering to a debased zoomorphic terminal which includes a very small globular knop with slightly raised area behind.There is a small part of the attachment end missing to an old break. There may be some incised decoration on the outer surface but this is very uncertain.

A Medieval copper alloy two or three piece strap end dating to c AD 1300 - 1400. It is sub triangular in shape or tongue shaped, with a rounded terminal, made up of two plates with possibly a filler. A rivet is still in place at attachment end, and the two plates seem to be soldered together at the rounded end. There is slight evidence of gilding around the rivet. Some chipped metal at the rectilinear attachment end.

A complete Early Medieval copper alloy strap end, Thomas class A, dating to c AD 750-950. It has the split attachment end with two small rivet holes, is convex sided, tapering to a zoomorphic terminal, all typical of this type. The surface is mainly a crusty brown with some deep red and is degrading. The panel of uncertain decoration on the upper surface exists only as a very patchy pale green, probably class A2 (patterned).

A cast copper alloy object, possibly a strap end of medieval date. The object is 32.1mm in length and tapers from a trapezoidal rear end with rectangular cross section through a bevelled section with trapezoidal section to a broken terminal which has small flanking lobes and may have been zoomorphic in form. There is a single remaining rivet hole at the rear end which has traces of a rusted iron rivet. The rear portion has a worn incised linear border with transverse lines at the rear end. The reverse is flat with a patch of iron concretion at the front end.

An incomplete Medieval copper alloy probable two piece strap end dating to c AD 1250-1350. It is two pieces of sub rectangular sheet metal, parallel sided, narrowing at one end into shoulders with a sub triangular knop on each. The two are held tightly together at the apex by a rivet still in situ, while a further rivet is extant in a central position near the attachment end. One plate has broken away from this second rivet at an early date and lost some of that end.
