An incomplete post medieval Dutch 2 stuivers dating from AD 1702-1793.  Obverse showing shield with floral crown above and divided mark of value 2 S on either side. Reverse bearing the inscription HOL LAN DIA in three lines with date (now missing) below.  Approximately 50% of the coin is now missing and it is irregularly broken, suggesting unintentional post depositional damage.  Measurements: 14.7mm diameter, weight 0.55g.

A copper alloy Post Medieval doit (or Duit) c. 1729 - 1792 AD. The obverse has the Coat of Arms of Zeeland, Netherlands a Dutch lion in sea on shield with crown. The reverse has the monogram VOC (Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie) for the Dutch East India Company but no discernible date. The coin is pierced near the rim, heavily worn, with and eroded dark green patina. It is 21.13mm in diameter, 1.1mm thick and weighs 3.0gm.

Very worn, it measures: diameter: 23.18 mm; thickness: 0.82 mm; weight: 2.8 g. It is pierced at about 10 o'clock on the obverse, and around 7 o'clock on the reverse. It may have a letter D engraved on the reverse towards the circumference.
