Lead hinge. A cast rectangular section plate, expanded and slotted at one end to receive an inserted lead spindle engaging a perforated lug projecting from the end of a similar but narrower plate, which is broken close to the meeting of the two components. A hole is pierced in the larger plate near the hinge, suggesting attachment; an impressed circle of diameter 7.5mm my suggest a large or decorative head for the fastening pin. Patinated. The object is a cast plug to mend a hole in a vessel wall. The object is composed of an outer sub-ovate plate with a tapered inward circumferential portion and a smaller, sub-ovate plate which would have attached the plate to the body of the vessel.

A Post Medieval complete probable lead palm guard, c.AD 1500-1700.
The object is a sub circular disc that has been slightly dished in order to fit more comfortably in the hand. The artefact has been made crudely, and there are numerous scratches. One longitudinal deep groove may be related to its use, or might be post-depositional damage.

This token is circular in plan and D-shape in cross section. The top surface is heavily worn, with a raised rim around the edge and a slight dimple in the centre. It is most likely to date to the Medieval or early Post Medieval period. These types of weight have not been catalogued into a typology and so a more precise date cannot be given.

This token is roughly tear-drop in plan, with flat faces and straight edges. One face has a stamped "6 -", which may stand for 6 pence; the other face is stamped with the numerals "22".
It is folded to near 90 degrees and has a white patina.

An incomplete Medieval lead vesica shaped seal matrix dating to c.1200-1400.
Approximately half of the seal remains, comprising of a pointed oval flat plate, with a raised rib on the reverse as a 'finger-pinch' handle. The central motif is uncertain, possibly an arched doorway. A single scribed line separates the motif from the mainly illegible outer inscription that appears to read : S'IOh [ ... ]. The reverse is plain.
Length 23.5mm, width 21.4mm, thickness 2.9mm, weight 7.2g.

A cast lead miniature axe of possible Roman date. It is square in section at the butt end, tapering in width towards the blade end where it flares to produce a triangular plan and profile. At the butt end is an circular socket. TIt measures 19.04mm in length, 10.11mm in width, 1.70mm in thickness (at blade end), and weighs 3.45g.
This is possibly a votive axe similar to other examples recorded through the PAS database (e.g. IOW-DFA401, FAKL-B0C080, SF-BD6BA3, SF-4AB493 or SF-105BC3). These examples suggest a possible Roman date for the object, however a later date cannot be …

The obverse depicts six segments, with an offset central cross (Powell type 3). The reverse is undecorated.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely.
