An incomplete copper-alloy sword belt strap fitting of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1500 - 1600. The fitting comprises an asymmetrical plate with foliate and floriate decoration to the upper surface. The narrower end of the plate tapers to a narrow rectangular projection, likely representing the remains of an attachment hook. Two rivet holes are present on the plate; one to the centre of the trefoil terminal retains iron corrosion, the other just above the broken hook.
