A complete flint microlith of Mesolithic date, c.7000-4000 BC. The lithic is sub-triangular in plan and section. The dorsal surface contains two predominant negative scars with corresponding arises. The proximal and distal edges have been abruptly blunted and the right hand edge contains a minor amount of semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is smooth displaying ripples of percussion. The lithic retains a no cortex and is therefore a tertiary flake. The flint is light grey in colour with cream inclusions throughout. Length: 14.3mm, Width: 12.6mm, Thickness: 2.2mm, Weight: 0.2g. …

A Mesolithic retouched flint blade dating from 10,000 - 4000 BC. It is a tertiary blade struck on semi-translucent dark brown flint. It is rectangular with a double dorsal ridge. The distal end has some scaled, abrupt, short retouch, perhaps to form a scraping edge, and there is some sporadic retouch or edge damage on the long edges, with more careful working at the proximal ends of the sides. This is also abrupt, scaled and short. There is also a small removal right across the ventral face at the proximal end. The blade is 38.1mm long, 13.9mm wide, 4.3mm thick and weighs 2.64g.
