A corroded and incomplete pewter medallion commemorating the capture of Portobello on the 21st November 1739, by Admiral Edward Vernon (1684-1757), using only six ships. The obverse depicts Admiral Vernon with hat to the left with outstretched hand under inscription [DOM BLASS], receiving the sword of the defeated admiral Blas de Lezo kneeling in front of him; Sir Chaloner Ogle behind holding scepter. The reverse is largely illegible but probably depicts the scene of the capture of Cartagena. No legends are readible.

The head has a pair of small, flat stumps of wings over a stumps of the chord hook, spring and pin, which would have been integrally cast. The bow is narrow with a rounded plano-convex cross-section and appears undecorated. The catchplate is lost. Circa 1st century AD.

An incomplete and bent cast copper alloy Roman Initial T-shaped brooch, of Colchester derivative hinged pin type (Mackreth (2011) CD H) dating to the late 1st to early 2nd century AD. The wings are cylindrical with moulded lobes around each end and contain remains of an iron axis spindle which has corroded, expanded and broken the wings in places. The object is triangular, tapering from a break across a pair of rivet holes to a beast head terminal with a flat attachment loop projecting from the snout. There appears to be indistinct moulded decoration on the front of the plate; details of eyes, brow, ears and snout are visible on the beast head.

A cast copper alloy decorative strap mount or fitting with a square plate, 19.4mm wide. The mount is decorated with raised cells of retained metal, with four small square cells around a central circular cell, all holding a red enamel inlay. The handle is waisted, with a conical base and expands into an openwork trefoil terminal comprised of four loops, with a larger suspension loop over a transverse row of three, the central having a solid centre. The dieface is oval, 14mm in length and appears to be blank or is too corroded to retain any trace of an original design. The handle has been bent.
