A complete knapped thumbnail scraper of Late Mesolithic date, circa 8000 - 4000 BC. The implement is probably a scraper, designed to be held between the thumb and forefinger, formed from a tertiary flake from a patinated pebble. It is D-shaped in plan and section with semi-abrupt, short, sub-parallel retouch on three sides and an abrupt blunt end.
