A post medieval pinner's bone dating to the 16th century. This tool is made from a piece of a long bone trimmed to form a cuboid. At this one end there are a series of grooves longitudinally, on which pin shafts are thought to have been placed while they were being filed sharp. There is some damage to the working end..
