A similar shape to a chisel or petit tranchet but without the necessary abrupt retouch, Possibly a pre-form, though there is tip damage probably occurring through use. A triangular-shaped flake, with the butt located at the base and thinned for hafting. Broken tip. Distal end is a hinge termination which also forms the oblique angle for the tip.

The original flint was probably quite brown and translucent although, through patination, the flint is becoming more opaque and is both light grey and dark grey in parts. Made on broken flake. A step fracture forms the top right side to the tip. The base has been flaked, notched and retouched (short, abrupt, scaler on the right and parallel on the left) to form a tanged base.
