An extremely Medieval French Jetton dating to c.15th centuries AD, probably a Tournai stock issue dating to c. 1415-c. 1497, but probably struck after 1478. (obverse as Mitchiner 1988, 223, ref: 651). The obverse carries a crown within a wire line circle, surrounded by the legend AVE MARIA GRACIA PL ERA DN On the reverse is a double-voided cross fleuretty within a double tressure of four arches. In the centre of the cross is a voided quatrefoil and there is a flower of three petals in each of the angles. The letters A-V-E-M are within the corners.

A fragment from a Mediaeval lead alloy pilgrim badge probably of the Head Reliquary of Thomas Becket dating to the 14th century.  This fragment only depicts the mitre of the saint and part of his forehead and eyes. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Headstud brooch dating from c.AD 75-200. The brooch is missing its pin, one wing, most of the bow, its foot and catch plate. The head of the brooch survives to a width of 16.2mm. The surviving wings are oval and pierced by a cylindrical hole down their width. A further lateral slot has been cut into the back of the wings to allow a pin to articulate around a copper alloy axis bar running through the cylindrical hole. A complete copper alloy ball of probable Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1900). The object is composed of a sphere of copper-alloy, with dark green glossy patina and minor surface pitting.  The object’s function is unclear but could be a Gaming Piece or Ball Bearing. Diameter: 12.4mm, Weight: 8.60 g The metal is dark green with a smooth patina. Due to the lack wear marks, it seems more likely that this might be a Post-Medieval gaming piece.  Compare: BH-DBB686, NLM-56E8F6, SUR-2CE255 and SWYOR-CF23D7.
