A complete cast copper alloy D-shaped buckle dating to the Post Medieval period c.AD1500-1650. The pin is missing. The buckle frame has a vertical axis bar and then a broadly D-shaped frame having a curved outer edge. This outer edge is splayed the inner edge being higher than the outer. this angled edge has deeply incised decoration creating a series of wavey patterns. The axis bar is recessed and slightly offset with knops projecting from its tips away from the frame. The buckle has a glossy medium green patina. A complete copper alloy narrow-pointed sword or dagger scabbard chape of Medieval to Post-Medieval date (AD 1300-1700). The small, conical chape is made of a single sheet of copper alloy that has been rolled into a conical tube with a single overlapping seam down the back.  The bottom has been cut into tabs which have been folded inwards to form a sealed, narrow-pointed base. There are two open, circular rivet holes along opposing sides of the top edge. An extremely Medieval French Jetton dating to c.15th centuries AD, probably a Tournai stock issue dating to c. 1415-c. 1497, but probably struck after 1478. (obverse as Mitchiner 1988, 223, ref: 651). The obverse carries a crown within a wire line circle, surrounded by the legend AVE MARIA GRACIA PL ERA DN On the reverse is a double-voided cross fleuretty within a double tressure of four arches. In the centre of the cross is a voided quatrefoil and there is a flower of three petals in each of the angles. The letters A-V-E-M are within the corners.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Headstud brooch dating from c.AD 75-200. The brooch is missing its pin, one wing, most of the bow, its foot and catch plate. The head of the brooch survives to a width of 16.2mm. The surviving wings are oval and pierced by a cylindrical hole down their width. The object is composed of a sphere of copper-alloy, with dark green glossy patina and minor surface pitting.  The object’s function is unclear but could be a Gaming Piece or Ball Bearing. Diameter: 12.4mm, Weight: 8.60 g The metal is dark green with a smooth patina. Due to the lack wear marks, it seems more likely that this might be a Post-Medieval gaming piece.  Compare: BH-DBB686, NLM-56E8F6, SUR-2CE255 and SWYOR-CF23D7.
