Fragment of a probable copper alloy Roman plate brooch, inlaid with enamel, dating to the 2nd century AD (100-200AD). The object is oval in plan and slightly convex on the outer face. There is a break at the top and bottom of the object.  This suggests that the object could be a large roundel from the centre of a brooch bow.  It is decorated on the outer face with a series of concentric circular cells, the largest of which contains blue enamel or glass. The inner circles appear to contain degraded enamel or glass, which is a rusty brown colour. The reverse is plain.  …

A fragment from a copper-alloy socketed axehead of Bronze Age date. Only the socket end of the axe remains, and it has post-depositional damage. It is broadly trapezoidal in shape, and is hollow. At the socket end the rim in thickened. Along one outer edge is the remains of a longitudinal casting seam.There is a similar example recorded on the PAS database (SF-CA59D7). This socket measures 43.02mm in length, 47.15mm in width, 4.77m in thickness, 47.86g in weight.

Roman silver finger ring fragment of Guiraud type 2b. The ring retains only about 50% of the bezel and one shoulder. The bezel would have originally been oval with a recessed oval cell in the centre that would have mounted a glass or stone but which is now missing. Flanking the stone and running along the edge of both sides is a line of stamped annulars that are confined to the bezel. The shoulder is undecorated and narrows to the hoop which is now truncated. This is an addendum to 2012T279 GLO-E86407 and represents the missing second half of the ring.

Roman copper alloy brooch that is a hybrid between a Polden Hill and a Wirral style. The pin mounting is in the polden Hill style, consisting of rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that would have held the pin axis bar which is now missing. The bow of the brooch is in the Wirral style and consists of a double rectangular cell covering the top quarter, which contains traces of a red or orange enamel. A cast copper alloy buckle plate of later Roman date (Hawkes and Dunning (1961) type IIB), dating to, c. AD 250 - 400. The plate is rectangular with three rectangular perforations and a rivet hole at each corner. The sides and rear edge have decorative cusped borders. There is a ridge across the front end behind a pierced pin articulation and small bar which retains a copper alloy pin. The integrally cast frame has broken away and been lost.

The fragment comprises a curled loop with teardrop shaped aperture at the centre, part of a second aperture on one side (which the object has broken across) and four or more incomplete decorative projections running around the exterior edge. One side of the fragment has crudely incised geometric decoration in the form of two bands, possible devolved interlace or zoomorphic forms.

Lead alloy toy tankard. Cast cylindrical model of a tankard, hollow, with an integrally cast moulded handle projecting from the mould line along one side. It is possible that other features were set opposite, where two surface irregularities may be either stubs from another handle or casting flaws. Copper alloy probable buckle plate fragment. A trapezoid sheet metal fragment, straight-sided, with a large [diameter 4.5mm] if slightly ragged hole at its broader end, where it is broken. This hole may be the end of a slot or hole for the putative buckle pin and is larger than a rivet-hole. Two rivets of diameter 3mm pass through the plate on either side of this hole. A strap end of composite construction with two plates of thickness 0.9 and 0.4mm with a central probably forked spacer plate between them whose tip projects at the outer ogival end. The inner end is lightly engrailed. A rivet of diameter 1.7mm passes through the inner end to attach the plates to each other and the strap.
