The object has a triangular plan with short, low angle scaled retouch along both long edges and worked from both faces. The broad end / cutting edge of the flake feathers from a tranchet removal but is not further retouched.

A retouched tertiary flake of dark grey brown flint, probably of later Neolithic to Bronze Age date. The flake is trapezoidal with a projecting point on one corner of the distal edge. This edge has short abrupt retouch along its length with what appears to be a small burin removal at the tip of the point to refine it for use as a piercing or engraving tool.

A fragment from a copper-alloy brooch of Roman date, dating to c. AD 80-200. The fragment consists of just the bow. It is sub-triangular shape with a slightly concave reverse. No decoration is present on either side.  The object is a green / brown in colour and has a worn and abraded surface patina.  Measurements: 26.4mm length, 7.7mm width, thickness 3.5mm, weight 1.1 grams.

A curved flint flake, apparently removed from the cutting end of a Neolithic flaked axehead. The flake appears to represent a corner of the cutting end of the axehead and has a triangular cross section with removal scars on both sides and a concave inner surface which is the break from the tool. the low bulb-of-percussion and feathered ends to the flake suggest this was a deliberate, contemporary removal, probably for sharpening or finishing purposes.

An incomplete copper alloy finger ring fragment of Roman date (c. AD 43 - 300). The bezel is oval and has tapering shoulders that end at worn breaks. The hoop is incomplete. The bezel has a recessed circular cell to the upper surface and contains two raised circular pellets at either side of the cell. Any enamel in the recessed cell has been lost. A heavily abraded rim fragment from a large medieval vessel, possibly a jug, with a buff coloured sand-tempered fabric. The fragement includes part of the rim, which had an original internal diameter of around 150mm and has an exterior flange to seat a lid. Below this is an abraded stump of a strap handle, decorated with pierced holes. The exterior surface has splashes of a green glaze.

A strap handle from a jug or flagon of a medieval greyware, c. 12th - 13th century. The fabric is reduced grey, hard fired and sandy with heavily iron stained surfaces from prolonged deposition in a riverine environment. The handle has a U-shaped cross section and the exterior side has incurved scalloped edges. There are vitrified areas and an overall malformation suggesting that this may be a kiln waster.
