A highly worn copper-alloy Roman barbarous radiate, copying uncertain late-3rd century AD ruler, possibly Gallienus (AD 253-268) or Claudius II (AD 268-270), dating to the period AD 275-285 (Reece period 14). Reverse type depicting Providentia standing left holding wand and cornucopia. Uncertain mint, although the star in right of field might suggest an eastern prototype, possibly Siscia? Cf. Gobl 1488 for a similar reverse type of Gallienus. Measurements: 12.99mm in diameter, 1.56mm thick and 1g in weight.
