Lead alloy type. Cast cube with one face marked by a double groove, and bearing the reversed crest of the Prince of Wales with its motto Ich Dien on a scroll below. The metal is unpatinated, but the block is melted at one corner. Of modern date, though the local context is an unusual one for the production of Royal stationary. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-2000. Height: 25.5mm, Width: 23.5mm, Thickness: 23.5mm, Weight: 82.42gms.

A copper-alloy letter from inscription such as on a monumental brass. The letter is the capital 'R' with serifed terminals. There are three rivet holes in the letter, one at each extremity. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1700.

White-metal coated letter S, one end missing (recent damage), the extant end seriffed. One integral attachment rivet on reverse. A white-metal coated letter L found in an 18th / 19th-century context in Colchester was considered to be "possibly post-Roman". Height >48.5mm. Width >28mm. Thickness 2.5mm. Length and diameter of rivet 4.5 and 3mm. 1st - 4th century.
