A 14th century medieval 'Lombard' jetton of a lead alloy. Objects of this type were used for the reckoning of debts on a counting board, especially in European financial institutions of the 13-16th century. This particular example is Italian and possibly refers to the Riccardi family, dating to the 14th century. It appears that it would have originally been roughly circular or at least ovoid, but damage, possibly within the soil, has left two large notches. one is more rounded than the other and appears to have happened earlier or to be a flaw of the original flan. Both sides ha…

Cast lead jetton or similar. The obverse shows a swastika. The reverse has what appear to be a Runic inscription - Kite symbol IXI IX above T.II.III. It is quite possible that this piece was manufactured by 'Billy and Charley' in London in the 19th century AD. 'Billy and Charlies' were produced to deceive people, the objects purporting to be earlier medieval or ancient items. This piece was found with FASAM-4B8C77 and is almost certainly from the same source with matches between the inscriptions.

'Billy and Charlies' were produced to deceive, purporting to be earlier medieval or ancient objects. This piece is almost certainly from the same source as FASAM-4BD554 which share similar ins…

Probably lead alloy, possibly a jetton. The piece appears cast. The obverse shows an indeterminate object (clover leaf shaped) next to a chalice. It is not possible to date the piece precisely, but it is probably late medieval or post-medieval.

The obverse or raised side has a design with three crowns interspersed by fleur de lis and with a central rose.
