The pieces are light in weight, leave a black streak on paper, and have either a laminated or a spongy structure. They are impossible to date, but are possible evidence of industry. A lump of probable coke, 55 mm in length. The lump extremely compact but light (44g). It is dark grey in colour and slightly shiny. It was found with Roman and Medieval pottery, and Medieval and Post-Medieval metal finds plus lead casting waste.

2 pieces of very highly vitrified clay. They are both broken on 3 edges and join together to form one piece. The clay is a dark reddish brown. One piece is triangular whilst the other is sub-rectangular. The clay has quite a lot of inclusions in, pieces of stone (quartz) about 2mm in size. The high level of vitrification suggests they were used in a high temperature industrial activity such as metalworking or glass working. A copper alloy object which is probably a casting spur from metalworking. The object is a solid cylindrical shape, 23.8mm in diameter which flares asymmetrically at one end to a diameter of 46.1mm. The flared end is slightly angled and is concave. At the other end of the object, there is a projection from the side which is sub-triangular in section, is 11.3mm thick and projects by 18.1mm.
