An incomplete copper alloy cockspur dating from the Late Medieval to Post Medieval periods (AD 1400 to AD 1800). The point of the spur has broken and is worn down to a blunt point, the entire fragment is well worn and corroded with a light brown patina. The inside of the spur has a pale cream colour due to wear, also evident in scratching around the outer edge of the spur. There are four attachment holes, twp on each side around the outer circle of the spur.

A mostly complete silver / white metal cockspur dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1650-1850). The object is made of sheet white metal that is folded and curved to have a broadly conical shape with slightly curved body and pointed tip. The seam runs down the underside of the curve. The base end is open with an irregular flat rim. At least two small holes are punched into the rim to enable attachment to the bird. The object is undecorated with a dark grey patina. A Post Medieval copper-alloy cockspur dating from AD 1500-1800. The fitting comprises a collar with a thickened rim, modelled to the leg of the cock. It was secured to leather with six evenly spaced attachment holes. The spur is integral and is slender and curving to a sharp point. Post medieval (mid 17th to early 19th century): The upper portion of the cockspur is a conical, which is now squashed flat. At the rim there are six rivet holes. The opposite terminal of the conical tapers to become a solid, rectangular sectioned projection which tapers in depth and width to a sharp point. The projection is curved in profile. The spur projects from the loop and has a rectangular cross-section. It tapers from a thickness of 9.27mm to 3.61mm at which point it widens from 2.01mm to 2.89mm. The cockspur is formed from a hoop or band (oval circlet); from the upper surface an integrally cast tapering spike extends. The spike - or prick - has an oval section. A cast, copper alloy fighting cockspur. It dates to the medieval to post-medieval period (c AD1200-1800). The cockspur comprises a circular section at the top. This circular loop rises into a collar with four evenly spaced holes around it. The top section continues at one end to form an integral, sharp-pointed prick which is perpendicular to the top loop. The prick is circular in section. It has been bent in the middle and curves round. The cockspur weighs 2.03g. The cockspur measures 18.24mm in length. The top loop is 15.01mm long by 14.25mm wide and 6.07mm deep. The patina is dark green.

A silver artefact, probably a cockspur, of (currently uncertain) date. The spur is a tapering bulbous cylinder in shape ending in a point. The open end has an edge that is set diagonal to the longitudinal line of the spur. This cockspur weighs 3.27g, has a length of 23.88mm and maximum diameter of 8.19mm. Two small circular holes are present c.1.4mm in from the edge at the open end. The object consists of a circular tube which has two pointed projections at opposite sides of its upper edge.
