Rim fragment from a 15th to 17th century heavy duty item, probably a lamp, roof vent or chimney pot. The fabric is mid orange with a mid grey core and abundent fine-medium sand temper. The rim is inverted with a broad top and the outer edge scalloped by pinching. Only a small fragment remains making it hard to accurately estimate the diameter but the internal diameter at the neck is perhaps only c.60mm. It has a abraded breaks. 57.48 grams.
