Two fragments of Roman (AD 70-240) decorated Samian ware (probably a Dragendorff 29 or 37), apparently from the same vessel. Both have a browny/ orange slip and the fabric is pale orange in colour. Both fragments are from the decorated, curving part of the bowl. 1) 52.91x38.82x9.68mm, 20.7g. Palm leaf to the left within a double-border circle, goat below. A Roman (AD 100-410) oxidised greyware body sherd with stamped decoration, probably Oxfordshire ware. There is possible residue of colour-coating in the stamp hollows suggests it might have had a reddish-brown wash. Measures 29.86x26.28x5.67mm and weighs 6.6g. The stamp decoration is in the form of a semi-circle of radiating triangles, reminiscent of a woodlouse.

A Medieval (13th/ 14th century) green-glazed earthenware sherd comprising both rim and base, from a wide and shallow vessel. It measures 39.59x29.99x9.33mm and weighs 12.2g. A line of four punched ring-and-dots run just below the rim. Between those at the centre is a vertical moulding, which below becomes a flattened triangle, and as it turns to the base rather squashed. This looks very like a face, and this is probably not unintentional as at this period anthropomorphic designs became popular.
