Incomplete medieval buckle with integral plate dating to the period c. AD 1200 - 1300. An oval frame with rectangular plate projecting from the back edge, terminating in a worn break. Medieval single loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1350 -1400. Rectangular frame with a narrowed and recessed strap bar and an expanded outside edge. The outer edge exhibits a central grooved pin slot flanked by a narrow groove on either side and a narrow groove at each end on the front. On the reverse, the two flanking grooves angle towards one another. Traces of iron corrosion from the missing pin are visible on the strap bar. See: Egan & Pritchard, 202, p. 96, nos. 437 - 439.

Incomplete post medieval copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle dating to the period c. AD 1575 - 1700. One trapezoidal loop and one D-shaped loop separated by a narrowed central strap bar. The outer edge of the trapezoidal loop is slightly recessed with a central notch for the pin rest. Traces of iron staining are visible on the outer edge of the trapezoidal loop and the strap bar. Distorted, incomplete and abraded front part of a medieval rectangular buckle plate with two rivet holes at the inside edge. The outside and the fold have been lost. Decoration, within an engraved border that curves inwards to avoid the rivet holes, comprises a large saltire-shaped cell. This has lost all inlaid material and is cut by the break. In each angle an engraved saltire forms a triangle with the border. No gilding has survived. Extant length 31mm. Width 18.3mm. 13th - 14th century. Finder's no. 426
