A fragment of fired clay fragment, possibly part of a weight, as part of a hole is present. Original form is hard to determine. The fragment is 53.20mm thick and weighs 273g. It is 107.07mm long and 62.04mm wide. The fragment is made of a fabric is similar to that published as GR2 (fine grog/clay pellet with some leached shell) in McSloy 2007, p 25, dated to the Bronze Age (c.2150 BC to c.800 BC) but without the fossil shell. The weight is cylindrical with a sub-circular hole running the length of the weight, but is off-centre. This hole is c. 7mm diameter. The weight is made of clay which has a fine mid brown coloured fabric with frequent flecks of mica. There is a irregular wear groove along the length of the weight, and a more narrow one 200mm further around.
