An short-flanged axehead of the middle Bronze Age.  The haft end is slightly curved, and it has a stop slightly over halfway along the haft. A fragment of a Bronze Age probable flat axehead or possibly a chisel dating to circa 2350-1500 BC. Trapezoidal in plan and rectangular-sectioned, the extant piece is heavily worn. It has a thin, straight butt which flares outwards before terminating in an ancient break before any diagnostic features would have been revealed. It is now heavily corroded and abraded.
