Grey flint with rippled banding and a small patch of naturally occurring crystals at one end and cloudy white patina overall, knife. Leaf shaped flake with broad flakes removed from its dorsal side and a prominent bulb on the ventral. Short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows its edges. The selection of this stone may have been influenced by its decorative properties, and the extent of patina suggests it endured a period of weathering after deposition. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2350-1600 BC. Length: 36.0mm, Width: 19.7mm, Thickness: 5.9mm, Weight: 4.75gms

Pale grey flint with dense misty patina possible knife. A small oval flake withcovering angled scalar retouch of its dorsal side nd with a bulb on the ventral surface. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect follows part of one edge, if this is not to be deemed fortuitous damage. The extent of patina suggests a period of weathering after deposition. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2350-1600 BC. Length: 23.8mm, Width: 18.1mm, Thickness: 4.2mm, Weight: 1.87gms.

Grey flint with misty patches of patina, knife. Flake with a dished dorsal surface and a prominent bulb on the ventral side. Short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows one long edge. Short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect follows a shorter extent of the opposite edge. The initial formation of the flake by hard hammer working, a period of exposure, and the reworking which interrupts patina, may all be accommodated within the Bronze Age. Suggested date: Bronze Age, 2350-800 BC. Length: 39.4mm, Width: 24.6mm, Thickness: 6.3mm, Weight: 6.17gms.

Grey flint with cortex strip possible knife fragment. Oval section flake with bifacial working; the [?]dorsal side bears broad flake removal scars while the [?]ventral side bears invasive angled retouch on one side only, with battered edges elsewhere. Conchoidal hollows on the dorsal aspect may have afforded a thumb rest. Suggested date: Later Neolithic to Early Bronze Age, 2700-1600 BC. Grey flint of good quality with cortex knife. Irregular flake with the dorsal side trimmed by hard hammer strike and rippled on the ventral. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral side follows one straight edge. The lack of patina may suggest this object was incorporated into a sealed context shortly after deposition. Flint covered with dense creamy white patina possible knife. Oval flake with broad flakes removed from its dorsal side, a bulb with platform on the ventral, and with possible short abrupt retouch along its longest edge, executed from the dorsal aspect. The dense patina suggests this object has endured prolonged exposure after its deposition. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2350-1600 BC. Dark grey flint with cortex and misty white patina possible knife fragment. Flake with cortex on its dorsal side and a low bulb on the ventral; the ventral surface has accumulated misty patina. Short abrupt retouch along one edge, executed from the dorsal aspect, includes a short extent which has acquired a similar patina to that of the ventral surface, but is continued by unpatinated retouch. These differences hint at reuse of this flake after a significant period of exposure. Suggested date: possibly Bronze Age, 2350-800 BC. Length: 22.5mm, Width: 15.2mm, Thickness: 4.1mm, Weight…

Mottled grey flint with cortex at edge knife. Oval flake with long broad parallel flake removal scars on its dorsal side, and with broader scars on the ventral, the latter probably struck from the other end but in both cases with prominent rippling. Together these conferred a sharp cutting edge. Suggested date: Bronze Age, 2350-801. Length: 51.8mm, Width: 36.5mm, Thickness: 8.2mm, Weight: 17.63gms.

Dark grey flint knife. Oval knife with abrupt hard hammer working from various directions covering both sides. There is a suggestion of battering along one edge of what may have been the dorsal aspect, to judge from the curved profile of the flake. Dr Kevin Leahy kindly suggests that the low angle retouch should suggest the identification of this object as a knife, rather than a scraper, which was the initial suggestion advanced by this reporter. Suggested date: Bronze Age, 2350-800 BC. Length: 53.1mm, Width: 33.0mm, Thickness: 13.1mm, Weight: 24.14gms.

White patinated flint possible knife, as identified by finder. Flake with a notch on either side, perhaps to assist hafting, and with long thin blade removal scars along two sides of a sub-triangular point. It seems that subsequent fine pressure flaking with a point has formed serrated edges at this end, though this is a feature which is more easily felt than seen. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2100-1500 BC. Length: 36.8mm, Width: 19.8mm, Thickness: 7.3mm, Weight: 4.68gms.
