A period sufficient for the struck surfaces to acquire a yellowish iron-stained cast ensued. This light discolouration was removed along one long edge by short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect. The Early Bronze Age could accommodate both primary and secondary episodes. Mottled grey and buff flint of poor quality; possible knife; the finder kindly suggests this may be a razor. A long flake from which long parallel flakes have been removed from the dorsal side and with a flat ventral surface. The result has been to form a putative curved cutting edge at the end of a long tang with a flat back along the opposite edge which might permit pressure to be brought to bear.
