White Patinated Flint Possible knife, as identified by finder. Flake with a notch on either side, perhaps to assist hafting, and with long thin blade removal scars along two sides of a sub-triangular point. It seems that subsequent fine pressure flaking with a point has formed serrated edges at this end, though this is a feature which is more easily felt than seen. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2100-1500 BC. Length: 36.8mm, Width: 19.8mm, Thickness: 7.3mm, Weight: 4.68gms.

Object type: FABRICATOR
Broad period: BRONZE AGE
County: East Riding of Yorkshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
Pale Cloudy Grey Flint Fabricator, as identified by finder. Elongated biconvex finger-shaped tool shaped by hard hammer working. The object tapers towards a thinner curved end, with casually executed flake removal at the mid point affording a grip for the thumb; the other end is flat, at a recent break. The upper and lower convex surfaces are lightly smoothed, probably by wear during use, though other flaking at the edges represents post-depositional damage. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2100-1500 BC. Length: 86mm, Width: 25.5mm, Thickness: 20mm, Weight: 53.56gms.
