An incomplete wooden probable Walking stick of Modern date (AD 1800-1950). The object is of anthropomorphic form with ethe upper portion being in the form of a carved human head, from the lower end a circular shaft extends. The features of the head are carved, and partially obscured by the loss of the left-hand side of the face. An incomplete gold handle probably from a walking stick or cane dating to the Post Medieval to early Modern period (c. AD 1750-1850). The object is rectangular in plan and would have once been tubular in form, though has since been flattened. At one end is a narrow decorated band, the decoration of which is a double transverse ribbed collar. Beneath this band is a partially exposed copper alloy ring. A complete gold walking cane ferrule dating from the late 19th century. Description: The ferrule is made from thin sheet gold and has a stamped design in relief of foliate scrolls, with a thin plain border at each edge. A large central heraldic shield features an inscribed crest of a lion's head charged with a bend. The hallmark to the right of the shield shows the initials 'J.K.' and '18Ct'. Cast lead alloy knop or finial for a walking stick or cane with moulded decoration tha spirals from a central point at the apex of the finial to the border at the base of the finial. The border consists of moulded roundels with incised crosses alternating with moulded stars and crescents. Stamped silver Early Modern walking cane terminal probably the top. Inscribed with London B-1877 F-1881 P-1890 R-1892. It is made from very thin sheet silver and has a stamped design of indentations neatly arranged in horizontal lines probably machined. The ferrule is round in cross section and flat on top. The base would have originally wrapped around cane, Similar to SWYOR-78BD45, NMS-EEF7F5 and NARC2733 The length is 30mm, width/diameter 22mm, and the weight 15.51g.

A Post-Medieval cast copper alloy walking cane terminal, now rather dented to one side. Inside it are the remains of a wooden cane and a white substance. Found with it, though no longer remaining inside, is a short section of wood 33.5mm long and c.9mm in diameter. The object measures 68.15mm in length and 38.39mm in diameter at the wider, closed end. The neck has a lip c.21mm in diameter and inernally measures c.16mm im diameter. It weighs 62.28g. Cast copper alloy walking cane top with the remains of the wooden cane intact. The object comprises a cylindrical copper alloy cap. The cap has a concave top; the sides curve in slightly before widening again, forming a 'waist' on the object. There is some damage to the cap at the bottom of the side; the remains of the wooden cane have swollen out of this break. There is a perforation for an attaching rivet opposite to the break. The cap is not decorated.

The ferrule is made from very thin sheet silver and has a stamped design in relief of scrolls and rope work round a border along one edge, and foliage on the rest of the object. A 'lions head' mount with cast decoration in relief showing a lions head, there is a circular aperture in the top of the head presumably where it was attached to the stick, at the front of the nose is a small integrally cast copper-alloy loop which may have performed a 'safety' function, holding a chain.
