Medieval decorative cast bronze pouring spout dog headed with large oval head and floppy square ears but no eyes dating from the 15th-16th century AD. Some have no eyes or closed eyes and some have floppy ears. Others have a barrel object in the dogs mouth with a hole in the end. They are normally made of cast bronze without sign of attachment devices. It is possible they were used as pourers on leather bottles secured bu a leather thong.
