Cast copper-alloy ?pointer. Both ends missing. Circular-sectioned shaft, expanding out, before tapering in to other end. Features resembling legs, wings and curling tendrils are moulded on to all surfaces. The end which would have represented the head is missing. Much heavy gilding survives. Finely cast. No parallel for this object has been found and the identification of its function as a pointer is tentative, although possible.
