An antler and lead 'priest' of uncertain but probably modern date. A priest is an object used to kill fish by hitting them on the head. This example is made from a part of antler, possible Fallow or Red Deer (Priscilla Lange pers. comm. via emailed image). The antler has been pierced with a long rounded tool near the head (the widest section). The head of the antler has also been shaped to remove projecting sections, resulting in an almost pointed terminal end.
