A complete copper alloy dress hook The artefact body is broadly circular, with openwork moulding in the form of four circles either side of the central motif. In the base is a V shaped frame and sitting in this is a relief moulded pineapple or pine cone. An almost complete copper alloy brooch of headstud type. The bow has a moulded stud on the curve at the top. The short wings extend either side of the head, and above these the plate on which the missing spring and pin would have mounted is present, decorated with three horizontal lines. The bow ends with a circular foot. The catch plate is present but incomplete. The cylindrical mount for the spring is still on the reverse but is incomplete. An incomplete lead hooked tag of Early Medieval date. It consists of a circular boss with two pierced attachment loops, the hook is missing, with iron corrosion present around a circular hole in the disc. Decoration comprises a prominent boss in the centre of three sets of double-line in counter-relief. Hooked tags manufactured from lead are very uncommon, and it is possible it is a mould rather than a finished tag. Similar examples can be found on PAS (see NMS-412B7B). An Early Medieval copper-alloy stirrup mount, dating to c.AD 1000 - 1100. Williams (1997) Class A,Type 9. The stirrup is sub-trapezoidal in plan and rectangular in section. The upper edge exhibits a projecting lobe with a central rivet hole for attachment. Below is an anthropomorphic facing mask with recessed eyes of differing shapes, a central moulded trapezoidal nose and two transverse mouldings indicating the mouth.
