An iron object. The pot is round and the sides curve inwards slightly at the top, although there is no lip on it. It has a moulded in square base, and this square is seen inside the bottom of the pot. Thanks are extended to Bill, Volunteer at Shropshire and Herefordshire, for identifying this as a hub cap from a vintage tractor, the square shape was for tightening and untighening it. Dimensions: 66mm diameter and 55mm high, and weights 52g

An incomplete early Roman copper alloy probable terret ring (vehicle fitting), dating to c. AD 43-200. Mounted on the shafts of a vehicle, they had reins threaded through them, acting as guides. Only the lower part of the hoop/ring through which the reins were threaded, remains. It is circular in section and, although only about a third is extant, it would appear to have been circular in form. It is decorated with semicircumferential ridges. The lower part of the terret is a C section 'skirt', lozenge shape, with a single drilled hole in one corner and single sets of small…

White metal, of light weight, probably aluminium. Fragment from a hollow strut or component of external diameter c.100mm, very slightly flared at the top. The metal is coated overall - including all fracture surfaces - in a thick buff corrosion deposit. This is probably from an aircraft, and the extent of corrosion may arise from the intense heat of a catastrophic explosion and fire. The finder has previously reported similarly distressed debris from the documented site of a downed British bomber. The material was kindly identified by members of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research…

There are moulded brows and ridges on the eagle's head, with incised lines forming feathers on the top of the head and neck. Eyes on either side of the head are also incised.
