A Post-Medieval silver toilet implement combining a tooth pick and ear scoop, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1700. The object is flat with a central quatre-lobed plate from which an ear scoop and curved toothpick project from opposing sides. The undecorated ear scoop bowl is circular and concave on the undecorated side of the implement. It is set at the terminal of a stem which is slightly D-shaped in cross section. Treasure Case: 2015 T597. Silver toothpick/earscoop with sickle-shaped pick, bent out of shape, with flattened sides. The incomplete pick emerges from the body of a stylised dragon, shaped so as to serve as a handle. Midway along the upper side of the dragon's body is an incomplete suspension loop. The dragon's body is marked with scales. From the dragon's open mouth, as if it were the dragon's tongue, emerges a strip of silver which terminates with a recent break and would have had an earscoop at the end when complete.

Incomplete silver post-medieval tooth pick. Irregular-shaped brambled handle with stub or triangular-sectioned pick at one end and elaborate mouldings at the other before a triple moulded collar and broken circular-sectioned shank, probably originally terminating in an ear scoop. There are scars from the missing suspension loop on one side of the handle. For a very similar, complete example with the handle in the form of a dragon see DENO-E6E8D8. 16th - 17th century. The toothpick is decorated with branching sprays and has punched annulets in the field and a fine cast grid on the raised surfaces. The toothpick itself is broken at the tip. An incomplete cast copper alloy probable tooth pick, of Roman to Post Medieval dating (1 - 1700 AD). The find consists of a cast strip of copper alloy, sub rectangular in plan and D shaped in cross section. One end consist of a forked end, and the other displays an old break. A Roman cast copper-alloy toothpick. The artefact has a comma shaped terminal blade that curves round to one side as it tapers to a point; the tip is slightly truncated and bent. At the other end is a slight indent on both sides, although these are misaligned, before a narrow stem continues. The pick in the shape of a bird's talon, emerging from the fleshy part of a bird's claw, etched with lines to imitate skin at the point where the talon joins the claw.
