A fragment of a lead alloy Pilgrim Badge of Medieval date (AD 1450-1550). The badge would probably have originally formed a circular disc, with raised decoration on the face. The decoration probably depicted St George riding a horse to the left, lancing a dragon below the horse or the drapery of the Virgin and Child. Running round the edge of the disc is a triple border of pellets. No attachments are retained on the back of the fragment.
Length: 16.01mm, Width: 11.94mm, Thickness: 2.54mm, Weight: 1.5g
The metal is cream in colour with a predominantly smooth patina.

An incomplete medieval lead alloy probable pilgrim badge or pendant dating to AD 1350-1500.
The badge is oval in plan with a fluted outer edge resembling flower petals with many small cracks and undulations across its upper surface. There is an outer border of pellets approximately 3mm in from the outer edge, the contents of the inner cell are unclear possibly containing an image of three standing people. The reverse of the badge is not decorated but there is the remains of a small lead hanging loop in the centre. The badge has a mottled light gery patina.

The object is rectangular with a narrow rectangular section. The upper right corner is broken and worn with a partial sewing hole present. The front faces bears a moulded design featuring a knight on horseback riding left within a beaded border. The name +GVILELM is present along the top edge. The reverse is undecorated.
The metal has a dark grey patina and survives in fair condition. The object is 34.6mm long, 31.4mm wide, 2.8mm thick and weighs 11.3g.

A cast lead alloy unidentified object, perhaps a Medieval pilgrim badge or a Medieval to Post Medieval cloth seal, dating from AD 1200 - 1900. The object is a small circular object moulded with the design of a scallop shell in relief on one face. The other face is uneven and is probably incomplete. It may be missing a second matching half that would make the shell three dimentional. Measurements are; length 10.6mm, width 11.1mm, thickness 2.5mm and weight 1.21g.

A frament of lead-alloy or pewter Medieval pilgrim badge dating to the period AD 1300-1400. The fragment is sub-rectangular with one complete edge. The front is decorated in relief with a scene from the holy cross (e.g. Spencer 1998, 166, nos 180c-e). This includes a saint extending their arm and hand outwards. A complete lead alloy Pilgrim Badge of Medieval date (AD 1450-1550). The badge is a circular disc, with raised decoration on the face. The decoration depicts St George riding a horse to the left, lancing a dragon below the horse. Running round the edge of the disc is a triple border of pellets. On the reverse of the badge there is a raised casting line running down the centre of the badge, at the upper end is an integral tapering rectangular pin, at the lower end is a projecting rectangular catchplate.

Lead alloy pilgrim-badge. It depicts a robed figure, seated, holding a lamb - the Lamb of God. The figure may be on a boat although this is not certain, and is likely to represent St John the Baptist. On the back is a single loop for attachment to a garment. This badge is one of only a few of this type recorded to date, including BERK-29EB55 and YORYM-DB0F36, and an example from Fetter Lane, London (Ward Perkins 1967 [1940], 264, no. 36.146/2)

A Medieval pilgrim badge in the form of a ringed cross dating from AD 1400-1550. The bage represents the 'Five Wounds' of Christ. The badge consists of a ringed cross, pelleted border with five plane roundels, one at the centre and one at each terminal of the cross. A similar cross is in Mitchiner (1986:184 no.607) and Spencer,Norfolk (1980 no.147).

A small, incomplete cast lead-alloy object in the form of a crown, possibly from a pilgrim badge and likely medieval to post-medieval in date, c. AD 1400-1600. It is copper-alloy, likely a late post-Medieval pilgrim badge, although it could be simply a religious attachment for a horse's bridle/saddle. It has a dark green-grey patina.
It is very similar to other such examples from the 18th-19th century, often bought as a souvenir after visiting Rome. Copper-alloy badges tend to date in general from the mid-15th century (Spencer 1998, 12).

A complete, but in two pieces lead alloy pilgrim's badge of the Head Reliquary of Thomas Becket dating to the medieval period (c.AD 1300-1500).
The badge is in the form of the head of Thomas Becket and is convex in structure to present a 3D face. He has a pronounced, pinched nose, a set brow and two almond shaped eyes. Atop of his head is his Bishop's mitre of which the tip has become separated. The object is ovate with a sub-D-shaped section and worn breaks to all edges. The upper surface is decorated with a horizontal band of pellets to one end and a central vertical band of pellets extending from it. The vertical band is flanked by further pellets. This likely represents part of the mitre.
The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal has a light white/brown patina and is worn. The object is 16.2mm long, 12.4mm wide, 1.9mm thick and weighs 1.2g.
