Half of a copper alloy fleam case of Post-Medieval date.The object consists of one half of a fleam case comprising a flat rectangular arm with a flat U-shaped expansion at the lower edge of one end and a circular aperture at the other.. The U-shaped expansion is covered with probable lead solder. A part of a medieval to post medieval copper alloy fleam, dating to AD 1600-1850. This was a handheld instrument used for blood letting. The object consists of a thumb lancet, this is a rounded triangular shap blade, running along the top is a copper alloy bar which originally would have been straight, it now curves around on itself. There is a rounded moulded section at the top of the blade. This object would have been part of a set, and probably contained within a case. Post Medieval Fleam/ Blood Letting Knife. Object consists of a copper alloy casing, which contains an undetermined number of blades inside which fold outwards. There is heavy corrosion and therefore the blades do not move anymore. The object has a long handle which then bulbs at the end to copy the shape of the blades within. There is a hinge and the thinnest part which piercers through the blades and allows them to swing outwards. The object weighs 29.5g and is 83.90mm in length.

An copper alloy and iron fleam (blood letting tool) of post medieval date, c.AD 1600 - 1850. The object comprises a copper alloy bar, which birfurcates into the outer casing. An integral triangular projection extends from the upper surface of the bar. Between the outer casing are three iron arms, each with different sized triangular blades set at right angles to the arms, but these are now heavily corroded. A rivet is present in situ at the far terminus from the triangular projection. The object measures 89.06mm in length, 30.54mm in width, 16.64mm in thickness and weighs 69g.

An incomplete iron bladed object, missing its tip, in a copper alloy case, possibly a post medieval fleam (AD c.1500-c.1700). Overall the object in the case measures 73.5mm long, 17.5mm wide and 15.3mm thick. It weighs 20.47g. The iron object measures 60.8mm long, 9.3mm wide and 7.1mm thick. It weighs 3.55g. Projecting from one arm is a U-shaped pocket or case while the U-shaped projection on the other arm is flat.
