Lead alloy cast piece in the form of the solid lead left in the well at the top with the stubs of three casting sprues/jets running from it. The well is thin and oval in plan with a slightly concave top where the metal has shrunk as it cooled. The sides taper to a rounded base with short raised lines of various thickness running diagonally down the sides, possibly to aid metal flow. The three sprues are circular in section with central holes and all have old breaks at the end. It is 49.0mm long, 14.0mm wide and 22.3mm tall; it weighs 63 grams.
