An incomplete cast copper-alloy chape dating to the late medieval to post-medieval period. The object has been formed from a single sheet of copper alloy which has been rolled into a semi-circular shape tapering to one end. The chape does not have a reverse, the reverse plate would have been formed from a flat plate. The narrow terminal end is rounded. A complete cast copper alloy object, probably the front plate from a chape. The object is formed from a flat plate of copper alloy, shaped with straight sides, a pointed base and two scallop cut out on the top, forming three points. There are two attachment scars on the reverse, along the straight edges. The metal is corroded and is a mid greyish-green colour.

A cast copper-alloy chape dating to the post-medieval period. The object has been formed from a single sheet of copper alloy which has been folded into a ‘flattened conical’ shape tapering to one end. The join runs between both ends. The narrow terminal end is unclosed, slight horizontal indentations on the end suggest that it may have had a separate finial attached. Due to its size this chape probably once housed a dagger rather than a sword. The surface is dark greyish-green in colour. This chape dates to the post-medieval period between 1500-1700.

An incomplete half of a cast copper-alloy dagger chape. Only the front plate survives, from a two piece chape. The plate has been cast in one piece. The edges of the chape are flat. The open end has been almost completely lost. The chape has been decorated with incised veritcal lines. There is a rounded knop at the bottom of the chape. The back plate is missing. It dates to the late 15th - 16th century. Parallels for this object can be found in Biddle 1990, Volume II, p1083, ref: 4036; and Egan 2006, p193, ref: 1080.

Most of the chape survives but the entire back plate is missing. The mouth has been decorated with a cut away rectangle and a circle. Three sets of parallel inicsed lines decorate the front of the chape. No means of attachment survive. The metal is a mid reddish-brown colour.

A cast copper alloy pommel from a sword or dagger of unknown date (probably medieval or post-medieval). Cast as a single piece the main section of the pommel is oval in section and hollow. A hole is present in the centre of each side of this section and an indented line is present around the lower rim. It has been decorated with large raised knops and then openwork hole decoration. The object is roughly crescent shaped and curves up at both edges; both of these terminals are broken and damaged. A cast copper alloy object, possibly a dagger or sword pommel. The object is circular in shape with a hole through the centre and eight projecting lobes. In between each lobe (arranged like a cog) are two raised collars. The hole through the centre is flush to the surface on one side, whilst the other is countersunk. The metal is a light greyish-brown colour. The metal is pitted. This pommel is possibly medieval to post-medieval in date. No exact parallel could be found on the PAS database or in the normal literature.

The front face is decorated with four small pierced holes arranged in a diamond pattern. A heavy-duty cast copper alloy guard from a quillion-dagger. Quillion-daggers were most popular during the 13th and 14th centuries, with the earliest example dating to the 13th century. A cast copper alloy pommel, probably from a large dagger or sword. The pommel has a cylindrical tube, which is heavy but very regular. At the top of the tube is a domed, but square cap. On each of the four sides an oval hole has been cut into the metal. Inside this, underneath the cap is a solid circular plate. On the apex of the cap there is a solid cylindrical extension, with a conical terminal. The pommel is probably post-medieval in date.
