Small cast cu-alloy mount, possibly dating from the later medieval or post-medieval period. The mount has three iron rivets and one lug on the reverse. The object may have originally be gilded. The purpose is currently unknown but may relate to horse harness furniture.
The length is 40mm, width 18mm, thickness 7mm and weight 9.34g.

Cast copper alloy ring, oval in plan with a circular cross section which narrows at the hinge and clasp. The hinge and clasp do not interrupt the circle, the hinge is formed of two side pieces from one half of the ring which flank a central piece from the second half all joined by a circular seperate rivet which is flush with the surface. The clasp seems to be formed in the same way with the half circle that at one end had the two side prongs having the central prong at the other end.
