A copper alloy coin. A Spanish eight maravedis coin, possibly of Philip III (1598-1621) or Philip IV (1621-1665). The coin has been countermarked at a later date with an 8 inside a circle on the obverse and a date, possibly 1659, on the reverse. The original designs on both faces are indistinct but are possibly a castle on the obverse and a lion rampant on the reverse.The flan is irregular in shape. An incomplete cast copper alloy toy gun. The toy is a model of a wheel-lock mechanism musket with a long sub-angular sectioned barrel, large powder pan and tapering butt ending in a large pointed oval knop.At the same side as the pan are two large integral rivets for the attachment of the missing lock mechanism. There are two holes in the underside where the trigger was attached. There also the remnant of an attachment for the missing ramrod towards the front of the underside of the barrel. A possible fragment copper alloy Roman or early medieval (AD c.200-c.600) brooch, consisting of only the detachable top knob. The fragment could be from a Roman crossbow brooch or an Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. Overall, the fragment measures 19.1mm long, and 8.6mm in diameter. It weighs 3.78g. The object in circular in section. The upper part is domed and is decorated with three circumferential grooves. In two containers but the coins from both were amalgamated before they could be studied. Drawing in Watkins and Rigby 1986, 181. Report by V. Rigby: There are 13 shreds which join to form about two-thirds of the base circuit of a wheel-thrown, barbotine beaker in fien-grained, oxidised orange ware, with traces of an original dark brown coating. The vessel was made in southern Britain in the late 3rd or 4th centuries AD. (Rigby 1986, 182). At least half-full.

Report by V. Rigby: There are 24 shreds which join to form an almost complete circuit at the base, diminishing to less than one-fifth at the neck. The vessel is a narrow-necked flask, or possibly a handled flagon of Fulford type 20 (Fulford 1975) in grey sand tempered ware with a metallic blue-black slip on the exterior. Probably a product of the New Forest potteries made in the late 3rd or early 4th centuries AD. (Rigby 1986, 182). Full up to the neck.

A Medieval cast copper alloy harness pendant. The pendant is Type 5 and circular in plan with an incomplete integral offset suspension loop. Roughly in the centre of the pendant is a circular rivet which is fixed on the reverse with a circular washer. This rivet gives the pendant a domed appearance. Around the circumference of the pendant are small circular hammered indentations. There are traces of gilding on the front. The length of the pendant is 33.53mm and the width is 23.29mm. The pendant weighs 4.81 grams.

A retouched flint flake which is not a specific tool form. It probably dates from the Mesolithic or Neolithic periods. The flake is triangular in section and has sub-rectangular faces. Some cortex remains on both ends of the flake. Each face of the flake seems to have been struck from a different direction. There is a small area of semi-abrupt retouch on one edge, and slight platform preparation marks on another edge. The third edge is not worked and has cortex surviving.
